নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ২০২১ সালের মধ্যে দেশের প্রত্যেক ঘরে ঘরে বিদ্যুৎ পৌঁছে দেব বলে জানিয়েছেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা। শতভাগ বিদ্যুৎ নিশ্চিত করতে বুধবার (১৩ নভেম্বর) সকাল ১০টায় গণভবন থেকে ভিডিও কনফারেন্সের মাধ্যমে ২৩ উপজেলায় ৭টি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র ও ২৩টি বিশেষায়িত বিদ্যুতায়ন প্রকল্পের উদ্বোধন করে এ কথা জানান প্রধানমন্ত্রী।
শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, ২০২১ সালের মধ্যে দেশের শতভাগ মানুষ বিদ্যুৎ সুবিধার মধ্যে আসবে। সবার ঘরে ঘরে পৌঁছে যাবে বিদ্যুৎ।
তিনি বলেন, ‘পরিকল্পিতভাবে আমরা বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন, সরবরাহ ও সঞ্চালন করে যাচ্ছি। যার সুফল দেশের মানুষ পাচ্ছেন। তৃণমূল পর্যায়ের মানুষ যাতে উন্নয়নের ফল পায় সে লক্ষ্য সামনে রেখে আমরা কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। উন্নয়ন মানে শুধু শহরের মানুষের উন্নয়ন না। তৃণমূল পর্যায়ের মানুষের উন্নয়ন আমরা নিশ্চিত করতে চাই। যাতে তাদের মৌলিক চাহিদা অন্ন, বস্ত্র, বাসস্থান, খাদ্য, শিক্ষার অধিকার নিশ্চিত করা যায়।’
প্রধানমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘এই দেশটা আমাদের। দেশের ও জনগণের সম্পদ রক্ষা করা সবার দায়িত্ব। সম্পদ যেন নষ্ট না হয়, সেদিকে সবাইকে লক্ষ্য রাখতে হবে। এর মাধ্যমে আমরা বঙ্গবন্ধুর স্বপ্নের সোনার বাংলা গড়ে তুলতে পারব।’
২০২১ সালে বঙ্গবন্ধুর জন্মশতবার্ষিকীতে সারাদেশে শতভাগ বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ নিশ্চিতকরণে সরকার কাজ করে যাচ্ছে বলে জানিয়ে শেখ হাসিনা বলেন, পাহাড়, হাওর, চর ও প্রত্যন্ত এলাকায় সবার ঘরে বিদ্যুতের সরবরাহ নিশ্চিত করতে কাজ করে যাচ্ছি।
সাতটি বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র হলো- রংপুরে আনোয়ারা ৩০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র, কর্ণফুলীতে ১১৩ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র, শিকলবহা ১০৫ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র, পটিয়া ৫৪ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র, তেঁতুলিয়া ৮ মেগাওয়াট সোলার বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র ও গাজীপুর ১০০ মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎকেন্দ্র।
এছাড়া শতভাগ বিদ্যুতায়নের আওতায় ২৩ উপজেলা হলো- বগুড়ার গাবতলী, শেরপুর ও শিবগঞ্জ; চট্টগ্রামের লোহাগড়া; ফরিদপুরের মধুখালী, নগরকান্দা ও সালথা; গাইবান্ধার ফুলছড়ি, গাইবান্ধা সদর ও পলাশবাড়ী; হবিগঞ্জ জেলার মাধবপুর ও নবীগঞ্জ; ঝিনাইদহের কালিগঞ্জ ও মহেশপুর; কিশোরগঞ্জের করিমগঞ্জ; নাটোর জেলার বড়াইগ্রাম, লালপুর ও সিংড়া; নেত্রকোণার বারহাট্টা ও মোহনগঞ্জ এবং পিরোজপুর জেলার ভান্ডারিয়া, কাউখালি ও ইন্দুরকানী।
এর আগে বাংলাদেশ বিদ্যুৎ উন্নয়ন বোর্ড-বিপিডিবির পরিচালক (জনসংযোগ) সাইফুল হাসান চৌধুরী জানান, ২০২১ সালের মধ্যে ২৪ হাজার মেগাওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ সক্ষমতা অর্জনের লক্ষ্যে দ্রুত কাজ করছে সরকার।
