নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক: বিএনপি সমাবেশ করতে আর কোনো অনুমতি নেবে না জানিয়ে দুর্বার আন্দোলনের হুঁশিয়ারি দিয়েছেন মির্জা ফখরুল ইসলাম আলমগীর।
রবিবার (২৪ নভেম্বর) বিকালে নয়াপল্টনে দলের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ের সামনে এক সমাবেশে বিএনপির মহাসচিব মির্জা ফখরুল এ কথা বলেন।
দলের চেয়ারপারসন কারাবন্দি খালেদা জিয়ার মুক্তির দাবিতে ঢাকা মহানগর উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ এ সমাবেশের আয়োজন করে।
মির্জা ফখরুল বলেন, সকাল ১০টায় আজকের সমাবেশের অনুমতি পেয়েছি। এখন থেকে প্রয়োজন হলেই আমরা সমাবেশ করব, যখন খুশি করব। আমরা রাজপথে নামব, এটা আমাদের অধিকার। আমরা প্রতিবাদ করতে পারব, এটা সাংবিধানিক অধিকার।
বিএনপির মহাসচিব বলেন, সরকারকে সরাতে দলমত নির্বিশেষে ঐক্যবদ্ধ হয়ে দুর্বার গণআন্দোলন গড়ে তোলা হবে। আর বিভক্তি নয়, আন্দোলনে নামতে হবে। অন্য কোনো স্লোগান আর নয়, সবাই স্লোগান দেন ‘এই সরকার নিপাত যাক’।
তিনি বলেন, নেত্রীকে (খালেদা জিয়া) মুক্ত করতে আমাদের সামনে একটি মাত্র লক্ষ্য রয়েছে। সেটি হলো গণঅভ্যুত্থান গড়ে তোলা। খালেদা জিয়ার বিরুদ্ধে চারটি মামলা ছিল। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার নামে মামলা ছিল ১৫টি। আমাদের নেত্রীর মামলা আরও বাড়ানো হলো। আর শেখ হাসিনার মামলাগুলো তুলে নেওয়া হয়েছে।
