আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত আফগানিস্তানের পূর্বাঞ্চলীয় গজনী প্রদেশে অভ্যন্তরীণ হামলায় নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর অন্তত ২৩ সদস্যের প্রাণহানি হয়েছে। প্রাদেশিক পরিষদের প্রধান নাসির আহমেদ ফকিরি এক বিবৃতিতে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন। খবর ‘সিনহুয়ার’।

প্রাদেশিক পরিষদের প্রধান তার বিবৃতিতে বলেছেন, ‘শনিবার (১৪ ডিসেম্বর) রাতে কারাবাগ জেলার একটি চেক পয়েন্টে তালিবান বিদ্রোহীদের পোশাকে সজ্জিত স্থানীয় নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর সাত সদস্য হামলাটি চালায়। তারা নিজ বাহিনীর ঘুমিয়ে থাকা অপর সদস্যদের লক্ষ্য করে গুলি চালাতে শুরু করে। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই ২৩ জনের প্রাণহানি হয়। পরে হামলাকারীরা তাদের অস্ত্র নিয়ে পালিয়ে যায়।’

এ দিকে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে কারাবাগ জেলা প্রধান হাবিবুল্লাহ বলেন, ‘লিওয়ানা বাজার এলাকায় মর্মান্তিক এই হামলাটি ঘটে। এতে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর আরও দুই সদস্য গুরুতর আহত হন। বর্তমানে তাদের অবস্থাও আশঙ্কাজনক।’

যদিও পুলিশের পক্ষ থেকে বিষয়টি নিয়ে এখন পর্যন্ত কোনো ধরনের মন্তব্য করা হয়নি।

অপর দিকে তালিবান বিদ্রোহীদের পক্ষ থেকে জ্যেষ্ঠ নেতা জাবিউল্লাহ মাজাহিদ হামলার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, ‘মর্মান্তিক এই হামলায় এখন পর্যন্ত আফগান সরকারের অন্তত ৩২ সদস্য নিহত হয়েছেন।’
