নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইনের মামলায় তিন দিনের রিমান্ড শেষে দৈনিক সংগ্রামের সম্পাদক আবুল আসাদকে কারাগারে পাঠিয়েছেন আদালত।

বুধবার (১৮ ডিসেম্বর) রাজধানীর হাতিরঝিল থানার উপপরিদর্শক মোহাম্মদ গোলাম আজম আসামিকে আদালতে হাজির করে কারাগারে রাখার আবেদন করলে আদালত তা মঞ্জুর করেন।

আসামিপক্ষের আইনজীবী এসএম কামাল উদ্দিন, আব্দুর রাজ্জাকসহ কয়েকজন আদালতে তার জামিন আবেদন করেন। রাষ্ট্রপক্ষ এ আবেদনের বিরোধিতা করে।

উভয়পক্ষের শুনানি শেষে ঢাকা মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট বাকী বিল্লাহ জামিন নামঞ্জুর করে তাকে কারাগারে পাঠানোর আদেশ দেন।

শনিবার (১৪ ডিসেম্বর) আবুল আসাদের তিন দিনের রিমান্ড মঞ্জুর করেন আদালত।

একাত্তরে মানবতাবিরোধী অপরাধে মৃত্যুদণ্ড কার্যকর হওয়া জামায়াত নেতা কাদের মোল্লাকে ‘শহীদ’ উল্লেখ করে বৃহস্পতিবার (১২ ডিসেম্বর) একটি প্রতিবেদন প্রকাশ করে দৈনিক সংগ্রাম পত্রিকা। এ সংবাদের প্রতিবাদ জানিয়ে ‘মুক্তিযুদ্ধ মঞ্চ’ নামে একটি সংগঠনের কর্মীরা শুক্রবার (১৩ ডিসম্বর) বিকাল থেকে মগবাজারে দৈনিক সংগ্রামের কার্যালয়ের সামনে অবস্থান নেন। এ সময় পত্রিকাটির কয়েকটি কপি আগুনে পোড়ানো হয়। সন্ধ্যার দিকে বিক্ষুব্ধরা সংগ্রাম কার্যালয়ে ভাঙচুর চালিয়ে গেটে তালা লাগিয়ে দেন।

খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পুলিশ এসে সংগ্রামের সম্পাদক আবুল আসাদকে শুক্রবার (১৪ ডিসেম্বর) রাতে থানা হেফাজতে নেয়। ওইদিন রাতে আবুল আসাদের বিরুদ্ধে হাতিরঝিল থানায় মামলা করেন মুক্তিযোদ্ধা কমান্ডার মোহাম্মদ আফজাল।
