শাহরিয়ার আলমকে রাইসিনা সংলাপে আমন্ত্রণ জানালেও ওই সময় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার আবুধাবি সফরে সঙ্গী হওয়ার কারণে অনুষ্ঠানে অংশ নিতে পারছেন না প্রতিমন্ত্রী। ফলে ভারত সফর বাতিল করতে হচ্ছে তার।
অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজকদের ইতোমধ্যে বিষয়টি অবগত করা হয়েছে জানিয়ে পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের একজন কর্মকর্তা জানান, ‘রাইসিনা ডায়ালগে প্রতিমন্ত্রীকে আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হয়েছিল। কিন্তু প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সঙ্গে আবুধাবি যাওয়ার কারণে তিনি নয়াদিল্লি যেতে পারছেন না।’
প্রসঙ্গত, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা আগামী ১২ থেকে ১৪ জানুয়ারি আবুধাবি সফর করবেন। সেখানে মধ্যপ্রাচ্যে অবস্থিত বাংলাদেশি রাষ্ট্রদূতদের নিয়ে এনভয় কনফারেন্স হবে।
