বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি : এতোদিন পর্যন্ত শুধুমাত্র মোবাইল ব্যবহারকারীরা ইনস্টাগ্রামে ডাইরেক্ট ম্যাসেজ (ডিএম) পাঠাতে পারতো। তবে এখন থেকে ডেস্কটপ ব্যবহারকারীরাও ডিএম পাঠাতে পারবেন।

গত মঙ্গলবার (১৪ জানুয়ারি) ইনস্টাগ্রাম টুইটারের মাধ্যমে এক পোস্টে জানায়, খুব দ্রুত ডেক্সটপ বা ল্যাপটপ যেকোনো ডিভাইস থেকে ম্যাসেজ করা যাবে। বর্তমানে ফিচারটি নিয়ে পরীক্ষা নিরীক্ষা চালানো হচ্ছে।

আপাতত অল্প সংখ্যক ডেস্কটপ ব্যবহারকারী ডাইরেক্ট ম্যাসেজ (ডিএম) পাঠাতে পারবেন। খুব দ্রুত সুবিধাটি সবার জন্য উন্মুক্ত করা হবে। ডাইরেক্ট ম্যাসেজ (ডিএম ) পাঠানোর সুবিধা চালু হলে ব্যবহারকারীরা ইনস্টাগ্রাম ওয়েবসাইটের ডান পাশের উপরের দিকে একটি এরোপ্লেন আইকন দেখতে পাবেন। এই আইকনে ক্লিক করলেই বন্ধুদের সঙ্গে চ্যাট করা যাবে।

অ্যাপ বিষয়ক তথ্য ফাঁসকারী হিসেবে পরিচিত জেন মানচুন ওং গত বছরই জানিয়েছিলেন, ফেসবুক ইনস্টাগ্রাম ওয়েবসাইটে ডাইরেক্ট ম্যাসেজের সুবিধা যুক্ত করতে যাচ্ছে।

গত বছর ফেসবুক সবগুলো ম্যাসেজিং প্ল্যাটফর্মকে একত্রে একটি প্ল্যাটফর্মে পরিণত করার প্রকল্প হাতে নেয়। এর ফলে ম্যাসেঞ্জার, হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ ও ইনস্টাগ্রামের ম্যাসেজিং সার্ভিস এক হতে যাচ্ছে।

এই অ্যাপগুলোর মধ্যে সংযোগ সৃষ্টি হলে এক অ্যাপ থেকে অন্য অ্যাপগুলোতে ম্যাসেজ পাঠানো যাবে। অর্থাৎ ফেসবুক থেকে ইনস্টাগ্রাম ও হোয়াটসঅ্যাপ ব্যবহারকারীদের ম্যাসেজ পাঠানো যাবে।
