আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : সিরিয়ার উত্তর-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলে রাশিয়ার চালানো বিমান হামলায় নারী ও শিশুসহ অন্তত ৪৯ জনের প্রাণহানি ঘটেছে। এতে গুরুতর আহত হয়েছেন আরও কিছু লোক।
স্থানীয় বাসিন্দা ও উদ্ধারকর্মীদের বরাতে তুর্কি বার্তা সংস্থা আনাদোলু এজেন্সি জানায়, মঙ্গলবার (২১ জানুয়ারি) বিকালে অঞ্চলটির আলেপ্পো ও আশপাশের বেশ কয়েকটি প্রদেশে অভিযানটি চালানো হয়। তখন সরকারি বাহিনীর সমর্থনে আলেপ্পোর পশ্চিমে অবস্থিত কফার তাল গ্রামে চালানো হামলায় ছয় শিশুসহ মোট আট জনের একটি পরিবারের সবাই নিহত হন।
এ দিকে পার্শ্ববর্তী ইদলিব প্রদেশের দক্ষিণ-পূর্বের শহর মারদাবেশেও আরও নয় বেসামরিক নাগরিকের প্রাণহানি ঘটেছে। তাছাড়া প্রদেশটির গ্রামাঞ্চলে বিদ্রোহীদের অবস্থানগুলোর ওপর রাশিয়া ও সিরিয়ার যৌথ বিমান হামলায় আরও অন্তত ৩২ জন নিহত হন বলে জানা যায়।
অপরদিকে কফার তাল গ্রামে নিহত পরিবারটির এক স্বজনের আর্তনাদের অডিও রেকর্ড এরই মধ্যে ব্রিটিশ বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্সের কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছে। সেখানে আবু ইয়াসের নামে ৭১ বছর বয়সী এক বৃদ্ধ বলেন, ‘খোদা সব জালেমের ওপর প্রতিশোধ নিবে। আমার পরিবারের আর কেউ বেঁচে রইল না, সবাই মারা গেছে।’
বিশ্লেষকদের মতে, সরকার নিয়ন্ত্রিত এলাকাগুলো থেকে বিদ্রোহীদের হটাতে সিরিয়ার সেনাবাহিনী একটি বড় ধরনের অভিযান শুরু করেছে। ভয়াবহ এই অভিযানে এরই মধ্যে ইরান সমর্থিত মিলিশিয়া সেনারাও তাদের সমর্থন জানিয়েছে। এদের সঙ্গে রুশ বিমানবাহিনী যোগ দেওয়ায় অঞ্চলটি থেকে হাজার হাজার বাসিন্দা তুর্কি সীমান্তের দিকে পালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ডিসেম্বরে ইদলিবে আশ্রয় নেওয়া বিদ্রোহীদের বিরুদ্ধে সামরিক অভিযান শুরু করে সিরিয়া সরকার। ভয়াবহ সেই অভিযানে রুশ সেনাবাহিনী ও মিলিশিয়া সদস্যরা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করছে।
