নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ব্যাপক উৎসাহ-উদ্দীপনার পাশাপাশি উদ্বেগের মধ্যে ঢাকা উত্তর ও দক্ষিণ সিটি করপোরেশন নির্বাচন হতে যাচ্ছে। শনিবার (১ ফেব্রুয়ারি) সকাল ৮টা থেকে বিকাল ৪টা পর্যন্ত চলবে এই ভোটগ্রহণ। এরই মধ্যে প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি শেখ হাসিনা যে কেন্দ্রে নিজের ভোটাধিকার প্রয়োগ করবেন তা নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে।

শুক্রবার (৩১ জানুয়ারি) প্রধানমন্ত্রীর প্রেস উইংয়ের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়, ঢাকা দক্ষিণ সিটি করপোরেশনের (ডিএসসিসি) অধীনস্থ ধানমন্ডি এলাকার ঢাকা সিটি কলেজ কেন্দ্রে ভোট দেবেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী। শনিবার সকাল ৮টায় নিজের ভোটাধিকার প্রয়োগ করতে পারেন তিনি।

উল্লেখ্য, এবারই প্রথম ঢাকার দুই সিটি নির্বাচনের সব কেন্দ্রে ইলেকট্রনিক ভোটিং মেশিনের (ইভিএম) ব্যবহার শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে। ফলে এ নির্বাচনে ইভিএমের গ্রহণযোগ্যতার বিষয়টিও মিলবে বলে দাবি বিশ্লেষকদের।
