নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ঢাকা দক্ষিণ ও উত্তর সিটি করপোরেশনের নব-নির্বাচিত দুই মেয়র ও কাউন্সিলররা শপথ নিয়েছেন। ঢাকা দক্ষিণের মেয়র শেখ ফজলে নূর তাপস ও উত্তরের মেয়র আতিকুল ইসলামকে শপথবাক্য পাঠ করান প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।

বৃহস্পতিবার (২৭ ফেব্রুয়ারি) সকালে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ের শাপলা হলে এই শপথবাক্য পাঠ করানো হয়।

এছাড়াও দুই সিটি করপোরেশনের সাধারণ ওয়ার্ড ও সংরক্ষিত নারী আসনের কাউন্সিলরদের শপথবাক্য পাঠ করান স্থানীয় সরকার, পল্লী উন্নয়ন ও সমবায়মন্ত্রী মো. তাজুল ইসলাম।

উল্লেখ্য, গত ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি ডিএসসিসি ও ডিএনসিসি নির্বাচন অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। নির্বাচনে আওয়ামী লীগ সমর্থিত প্রার্থী ব্যারিস্টার শেখ ফজলে নূর তাপস ও আতিকুল ইসলাম পরবর্তী পাঁচ বছরের জন্য মেয়র নির্বাচিত হন।
