নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : নভেল করোনা ভাইরাস (কভিড-১৯) ছড়ানো রোধে সবাইকে জনসমাগম এড়িয়ে চলার আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন বঙ্গবন্ধু কন্যা প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।

সোমবার (৯ মার্চ) প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে অনুষ্ঠিত মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে প্রধানমন্ত্রী এই আহ্বান জানান বলে জানিয়েছেন স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিভাগের সচিব মো. আসাদুল ইসলাম।

মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে সভাপতিত্ব করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।

বৈঠকের পর সচিবালয়ে প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে স্বাস্থ্যসেবা বিভাগের সচিব বিষয়টি জানান। এ সময় মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব খন্দকার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম উপস্থিত ছিলেন।

ইতোমধ্যে বাংলাদেশে করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত তিনজন রোগী শনাক্ত করেছে জাতীয় রোগতত্ত্ব, রোগনিয়ন্ত্রণ ও গবেষণা প্রতিষ্ঠান (আইইডিসিআর)। এদের মধ্যে দুজন পুরুষ ও একজন নারী। তাদের রাজধানীর একটি হাসপাতালের কোয়ারেন্টাইনে রাখা হয়েছে। এদের মধ্যে দুজন ইতালি থেকে এসেছেন। তাদের বয়স ২০ থেকে ২৫ বছর। এ তিনজন ছাড়া আরও দুজনকে করোনা আক্রান্ত সন্দেহে কোয়ারেন্টাইনে রাখা হয়েছে।

রবিবার (৮ মার্চ) বিকালে করোনা ভাইরাস সম্পর্কিত নিয়মিত প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে আইইডিসিআর পরিচালক অধ্যাপক ডা. মীরজাদি সেব্রিনা ফ্লোরা বিষয়টি জানান। তবে এর পরের ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আর কোনো করোনা আক্রান্ত রোগী পাওয়া যায়নি বলে জানিয়েছেন আইইডিসিআর পরিচালক।

আজকের প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে আইইডিসিআর পরিচালক বলেন, ‘রবিবার বিকাল ৫টা পর্যন্ত দেশে তিনজনের শরীরে করোনা ভাইরাসের সংক্রমণ ধরা পড়েছে। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় আরও চারজনের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করেছি, তবে তাদের কারও মধ্যেই করোনা ভাইরাসের উপস্থিতি পাওয়া যায়নি। তার মানে এ পর্যন্ত সর্বমোট সর্বমোট শনাক্ত রোগীর সংখ্যা তিনজনই।’

এ দিকে, করোনা ভাইরাস নিয়ে আইইডিসিআরের প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে বাড়তি কথা না বলতে পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন উচ্চ আদালত। এ নিয়ে বাড়তি কথায় আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টি হতে পারে বলেও মন্তব্য করেছেন আদালত।
