নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ভয়াবহ করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রমণ রোধে সরকারি অফিস-আদালত আগামী ৪ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত বন্ধ ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। এ সময় পুলিশ ও হাসপাতাল ছাড়া সব ধরনের সরকারি সেবাও বন্ধ থাকবে। সোমবার (২৩ মার্চ) বিকালে সচিবালয়ে এক জরুরি ব্রিফিংয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব খন্দকার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম এ ঘোষণা দেন।
ব্রিফিংয়ে বলা হয়, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা নিয়মিত খোঁজ খবর নিচ্ছেন এবং সেই আলোকে নির্দেশনা দিচ্ছেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রীর অফিসে দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনা বিষয়ক বিভাগটি সার্বক্ষণিক খোলা রয়েছে। করোনা মোকাবেলায় ওয়ার্ড পর্যায়ে গ্রাম পুলিশরাও কাজ করছে।
২৬ মার্চ উপলক্ষে সরকারি ছুটির সঙ্গে ২৯ মার্চ থেকে ২ এপ্রিল মোট ৫ দিন যুক্ত করে ছুটি ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। এর সঙ্গে ৩ ও ৪ এপ্রিল সরকারি সাধারণ ছুটিও যুক্ত হবে। অর্থাৎ আগামী ২৬ মার্চ থেকে ৪ এপ্রিল মোট ১০ দিন ছুটি থাকবে।
এর আগে, রবিবার (২২ মার্চ) সন্ধ্যায় এক জরুরি সভায় দেশের সকল বাণিজ্যিক বিতান ও শপিং মল আগামী ২৫ মার্চ থেকে ৩১ মার্চ পর্যন্ত বন্ধের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় বাংলাদেশ দোকান মালিক সমিতি।
সংগঠনের মহাসচিব জহিরুল হক ভূইয়া স্বাক্ষরিত এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়, করোনা ভাইরাসের প্রভাবে মার্কেটগুলোতে ক্রেতাশূন্য হয়ে পড়েছে। শ্রমিক কর্মচারী ও মালিকদের করোনা ভাইরাস সংক্রমণ এড়াতে আগামী ২৫ মার্চ থেকে ৩১ মার্চ পর্যন্ত সুপার শপ, সুপার মার্কেট এবং মার্কেটগুলো বন্ধ থাকবে। তবে কাঁচাবাজার, মুদির দোকান, ওষুধের দোকান এবং নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় দ্রব্যের দোকান খোলা থাকবে। একই সঙ্গে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় পণ্যের দাম বৃদ্ধি না করতে ব্যবসায়ীদের আহ্বান জানায় সংগঠনটি।
