নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক: টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল এটিএন নিউজের এক রিপোর্টার করোনা ভাইরাসে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে বলে প্রতিষ্ঠানের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে।
রবিবার (১২ এপ্রিল) এটিএন নিউজের প্রধান নির্বাহী সম্পাদক মুন্নী সাহা এ বিবৃতিতে এ তথ্য জানান।
বিবৃতিতে মুন্নী সাহা বলেন, আমাদের একজন রিপোর্টার দেশের বাইরে এক মাসের একটি প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে গত ২১ মার্চ ঢাকায় ফেরেন। বিমানবন্দর থেকে সরাসরি তিনি তার ঢাকার বাসায় কোয়ারেন্টিনে ছিলেন। ১৫ দিনের যথাযথ কোয়ারেন্টিন শেষে তিনি ৫ এপ্রিল স্বেচ্ছায় অফিসে যোগ দেন। কিন্তু চারদিন অফিস করার পরই তিনি জ্বরে আক্রান্ত হন। পরে কাশি এবং গায়ে ব্যথা শুরু হলে আইইডিসিআর এ যোগাযোগ করা হলে ১০ এপ্রিল তারা বাসা থেকে তার স্যাম্পল সংগ্রহ করেন। ১১ এপ্রিল রাতে তারা জানিয়ে দেয়, তিনি করোনা পজেটিভ।
এতে আরও বলা হয়, কভিড-১৯ আক্রান্ত হলেও তিনি মানসিকভাবে চাঙ্গা আছেন। প্রথম থেকেই তার শ্বাসকষ্ট ছিল না। জ্বর, গায়ে ব্যথাও কমে আসছে। তিনি শুরু থেকেই চিকিৎসকের পরামর্শে বাসায় থেকেই চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন এবং তিনি বাসায় আইসোলেশনে আছেন। এটিএন নিউজ কর্তৃপক্ষ তার সঙ্গে সার্বক্ষণিক যোগাযোগ রাখছে এবং তার চিকিৎসার সম্পূর্ণ দায়িত্ব নিয়েছে। সেই রিপোর্টার পজেটিভ নিশ্চিত হওয়ার পরই তার সঙ্গে কথা বলে যে তিনদিন অফিস করেছেন সেই সময় তিনি কাদের সঙ্গে কাজ করেছেন বা কাদের সঙ্গে মিশেছেন, তার তালিকা নেওয়া হয়। রিপোর্টিং, ক্যামেরাম্যান, প্রোডিওসার, ডেস্ক মিলিয়ে মোট ২০ জন কর্মীকে হোম কোয়ারেন্টিনে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
মুন্নী সাহা বলেন, একজন সহকর্মীর করোনা সংক্রমণের খবরে মন খারাপ হলেও এটিএন নিউজের কর্মীদের মনোবল চাঙ্গা আছে। বাকি সবাই কাজ চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। করোনার বিরুদ্ধে বিশ্বব্যাপী যে সর্বাত্মক লড়াই চলছে, সে লড়াইয়ে সাহসের সঙ্গেই এটিএন নিউজের কর্মীরা মাঠে আছে এবং থাকবে। আপনাদের সবার সহায়তা ও ভালোবাসা কামনা করছি।
এ নিয়ে গণমাধ্যমের সাত কর্মী করোনায় আক্রান্তের খবর এলো। বেসরকারি টেলিভিশন ইন্ডিপেন্ডেন্ট, যমুনা, দীপ্ত ছাড়াও আরও তিন গণমাধ্যমের তিনজনকর্মী আক্রান্ত হয়ে চিকিৎসকের তত্ত্বাবধানে আছেন।
গণমাধ্যম কর্মীদের আক্রান্তের মধ্যে শনিবার সাংবাদিক নেতাদের তথ্যমন্ত্রী ড. হাছান মাহমুদ বলেন, সরকারের পক্ষ থেকে কীভাবে সংবাদকর্মীদের স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা দেওয়া যায় এবং আজকে যে ঝুঁকির মধ্যে তারা কাজ করছেন এটার ক্ষেত্রেও কী করা যায় সেগুলো নিয়েও আমরা কাজ করছি।
গত ৮ মার্চ থেকে বাংলাদেশে এ পর্যন্ত মোট আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ৬২১। আর মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৩৪ জনের। মোট সুস্থ হয়েছেন ৩৯ জন। গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় মোট আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ১৩৯ জন এবং মৃত্যু হয়েছে ৪ জনের।
