দেশে কার্যকর লকডাউন চায় ওয়ার্কার্স পার্টির

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : সারা দেশকে কার্যকর লকডাউনের আওতায় আনার জন্য সরকারের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়েছে বাংলাদেশের ওয়ার্কার্স পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী)।

বৃহস্পতিবার (১৬ এপ্রিল) সভাপতি নুরুল হাসান ও সাধারণ সম্পাদক ইকবাল কবির জাহিদ এক বিবৃতিতে এ আহ্বান জানান।

প্রধানমন্ত্রী আওয়ামী লীগের ত্রাণ কমিটি গঠন ও প্রশাসনিক সহায়তার যে ঘোষণা দিয়েছেন, বিবৃতিতে তার তীব্র নিন্দা ও প্রতিবাদ জানান নেতৃদ্বয়।

তারা বলেন, দেশের এই মহাদুর্যোগ মোকাবিলায় রাজনৈতিক দলগুলো ও আপামর জনগণ যখন সকল গণতান্ত্রিক রাজনৈতিক দল, শ্রেণি-পেশা, সামাজিক, সাংস্কৃতিক সংগঠন ও চিকিৎসা বিশেষজ্ঞদের নিয়ে জাতীয় সমন্বয় কমিটি গঠনের দাবি করছেন, তখন এই ঘোষণা শুধু অনাকাঙ্কিক্ষত নয়, গণবিরোধী। যা দেশের জন্য আরও ভয়ঙ্কর পরিস্থিতির পথ প্রশস্ত করবে। ইতোমধ্যে দুই শতাধিক স্থানে ত্রাণের খাদ্য দুর্নীতিতে অধিকাংশই আওয়ামী লীগের নেতাকর্মীদের পরিচয় পাওয়া গেছে। ফলে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর এই সিদ্ধান্ত দলীয় দুর্নীতিবাজদেরকেই সুযোগ করে দেবে।

নেতৃবৃন্দ বলেন, খাদ্য নিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য খাদ্য মজুত ব্যবস্থা, পরিবহন ও বিতরণের জন্য সেনাবাহিনীর ওপর পূর্ণ দায়িত্ব অর্পণ, করোনা চিকিৎসায় সেনাবাহিনীর ‘মেডিকেল কোর’কে সংযুক্ত করতে হবে।
