জেলা প্রতিনিধ, শেরপুর : শেরপুর জেলায় নতুন করে আরো ছয়জনের করোনা শনাক্ত হয়েছে এবং মারা গেছেন একজন। এ নিয়ে জেলায় মোট শনাক্ত হলেন ১২০জন, মৃত্যু দুইজন। এরমধ্যে সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরেছেন ৭০জন। মারা যাওয়া ওই নারীর নাম সুফিয়া বেগম। তার বাড়ি জেলার নকলা উপজেলার পাঠাকাটা ইউনিয়নের কৈয়াকুড়ি গ্রামে।
রবিবার (৭ জুন) সকালে জেলা সিভিল সার্জন ডা. একেএম আনোয়ারুর রউফ এসব তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
তিনি জানান, সুফিয়া বেগম চট্টগ্রাম থেকে করোনা উপসর্গ নিয়ে নকলা গ্রামের বাড়িতে আসে এবং গত ৪জুন বৃহস্পতিবার নকলা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সে নমুনা দেয়। নমুনা দেওয়ার প্রায় তিনঘণ্টার পর মারা যান তিনি। শনিবার তার নমুনার রিপোর্ট পজিটিভ আসে। এছাড়া নতুন করে শেরপুর সদরে একজন, ঝিনাইগাতীতে একজন, নালিতাবাড়ীতে একজন ও নকলা উপজেলায় তিনজনসহ মোট ছয়জনের করোনা শনাক্ত হয়।
সিভিল সার্জন আনোয়ারুর রউফ বলেন, প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, সামাজিক সংস্পর্শের কারণেই তারা করোনায় সংক্রমিত হয়েছেন। আক্রান্তদের সবাই বাড়িতে আইসোলেশনে থাকবেন। তাদের সংস্পর্শে আসা অন্যদের নমুনা সংগ্রহ করা হবে। রোববার পর্যন্ত জেলায় আক্রান্ত ১২০ জনের মধ্যে শেরপুর সদরে ৫৩, শ্রীবরদীতে ১১, ঝিনাইগাতীতে ১৪, নকলায় ২৩ ও নালিতাবাড়ী উপজেলায় ১৯ জন রয়েছেন। এদের মধ্যে ৭০ জন সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরে গেছেন। আর দুইজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। করোনার বিস্তার প্রতিরোধে সাধারণ মানুষকে সচেতন হওয়ার ও স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে চলার জন্য আহবান জানান তিনি।
