নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় মারা যাওয়া আওয়ামী লীগের সভাপতিমণ্ডলীর সদস্য মোহাম্মদ নাসিমের ছেলে সাবেক সংসদ সদস্য তানভীর শাকিল জয়কে সমবেদনা জানাতে টেলিফোন করেছিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
শনিবার (১৩ জুন) মোহাম্মদ নাসিমের মৃত্যু সংবাদ পাওয়ার পর আওয়ামী লীগ সভাপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা টেলিফোনে সমবেদনা জানান বলে নিশ্চিত করেছেন দলটির দফতর সম্পাদক ও প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বিশেষ সহকারী ব্যারিস্টার বিপ্লব বড়ুয়া।
তিনি বলেন, মোহাম্মদ নাসিমের ছেলে তানভীর শাকিল জয়ের সঙ্গে আমার কথা হয়েছে। প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা জয়ের সঙ্গে টেলিফোনে কথা বলেছেন এবং তাকে সমবেদনা জানিয়েছেন।
আটদিন মৃত্যুর সঙ্গে পাঞ্জা লড়ে শনিবার (১৩ জুন) বেলা ১১টার দিকে রাজধানীর শ্যামলী বাংলাদেশ স্পেশালাইজড হাসপাতালে শেষ নিঃশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন বর্ষীয়ান এ রাজনীতিবিদ।
শ্বাসকষ্ট নিয়ে গত ১ জুন শ্যামলীর বাংলাদেশ স্পেশালাইজড হাসপাতালে ভর্তির পরে করোনাভাইরাস পজিটিভ আসেন মোহাম্মদ নাসিমের। এরপর গত ৫ জুন ভোররাতে ব্রেন স্ট্রোক হয়। পরে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের নিউরোসার্জন বিভাগের প্রধান অধ্যাপক ডা. রাজিউল হকের নেতৃত্বে অস্ত্রোপচার হয়। পরে তার শারিরীক অবস্থার অবনতি হলে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (বিএসএমএমইউ) উপাচার্য ডা. কনক কান্তি বড়ুয়াকে প্রধান করে একটি মেডিকেল বোর্ড গঠন করা হয়।
