নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী শেখ মোহাম্মদ আব্দুল্লাহ-এর মৃত দেহ গোপালগঞ্জে নিয়ে আসা হচ্ছে। আজ রবিবার(১৪ মে) আসরবাদ তার গ্রামের বাড়ি সদর উপজেলার কেকানিয়া গ্রামের পারিবারিক কবরস্থানে বাবা-মায়ের কবরের পাশে সমাহিত করা হবে। এর আগে বাড়ির মসজিদ প্রাঙ্গণে নামাজে জানাজা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে বলে তাঁর পারিবারিক সূত্র জানিয়েছে।
ইতোমধ্যে পারিবারিক কবরস্থানে কবর খোঁড়ার কাজ শুরু করা হয়েছে। দীর্ঘদিন শহরের কলেজ রোডের যে বাসায় থেকে তিনি রাজনীতি করেছেন সেই বাসাও তাকে আনা হবে না। সরাসরি ঢাকা থেকে তার লাশ গ্রামের বাড়ি কেকানিয়া গ্রামে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে এবং সেখানে সমাহিত করা হবে।
এদিকে, ধর্ম প্রতিমন্ত্রী ও গোপালগঞ্জের সকলের প্রিয় আব্দুল্লাহ ভাইয়ের মৃত্যুর খবরে জেলার সর্বত্র শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।নেতা-কর্মীসহ সর্বস্তরের লোকজন শোক প্রকাশ করেছেন তাঁর এই মৃত্যুতে।
উল্লেখ্য, গতকাল শনিবার রাত পৌনে ১২টায় তিনি ঢাকার একটি হাসপাতালে ইন্তেকাল করেন।
