নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : গণস্বাস্থ্যের অ্যান্টিবডি টেস্ট কিটের চূড়ান্ত ফলাফল জানাতে আজ বুধবার সংবাদ সম্মেলন করতে পারে বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিব মেডিকেল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় (বিএসএমএমইউ) হাসপাতাল কর্তৃপক্ষ।
বিএসএমএমইউ উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক ডা. কনক কান্তি বড়ুয়া মঙ্গলবার রাতে সংবাদ মাধ্যমকে জানান, সকালে সংবাদ সম্মেলন ডাকার চিন্তাভাবনা রয়েছে। হাসপাতালের গণসংযোগ কর্মকর্তা সংবাদ সম্মেলনের সময় জানিয়ে দেবে। সংবাদ সম্মেলন থেকে কিটের ফলাফল জানানো হতে পারে।
ফলাফলের বিষয়ে জানতে চাইলে তিনি বলেন, পরীক্ষা শেষ হলেই তো ফলাফলের বিষয়ে বলা যাবে না। কারণ ডাটার প্রসেস শেষ হলে, সেইগুলো এডিট করে তারপর তারা আমাকে ফলাফল জানাবেন। এখনও সবকিছু চূড়ান্ত হয়নি।
এ বিষয়ে জানতে চাইলে বিএসএমএমইউ গঠিত বোর্ডের প্রধান ও হাসপাতালের ভাইরোলজি বিভাগের সাবেক বিভাগীয় প্রধান অধ্যাপিকা শাহীনা তাবাসসুম জানান, আমরা কিটের ফলাফল বিএসএমএমইউ কর্তৃপক্ষকে দিয়েছি। তারা ফলাফল ঔষধ প্রশাসন অধিদপ্তরে জমা দেবেন। রোগীদের বিভিন্ন গ্রুপে ভাগ করে কিটের পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে।
গণস্বাস্থ্যের অ্যান্টিবডি কিটের উদ্ভাবক দলের প্রধান বিজ্ঞানী ড. বিজন কুমার শীল বলেন, বিএসএমএমইউ বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে অভিজ্ঞ ও শীর্ষ প্রতিষ্ঠান। আশা করি তারা সঠিক সিদ্ধান্তটা দেবেন এবং সঠিক ফলাফলটা জমা দেবেন। বিএসএমএমইউ কর্তৃপক্ষের পরে পরবর্তী ধাপের কাজ ওষুধ প্রশাসনের। তাদের কাছে মালামাল আমদানির জন্য অনুমতির আবেদন দেওয়া আছে। ফলে তারা যত দ্রুত অনুমতি দেবেন, ততই দ্রুত কিটের কাঁচামাল বিদেশ থেকে আমদানি করতে পারব। আমাদের সবকিছু রেডি আছে। তাদের অনুমতি পেলেই কাজ শুরু করতে পারব। বাজারেও দ্রুত কিট আসবে।
