নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : সব দেশের নাগরিকদের জন্য বাংলাদেশে আগমনী ভিসা (ভিসা অন-অ্যারাইভাল) আবারও স্থগিত করা হয়েছে। এর আগে নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদের জন্য স্থগিত করা হলেও এবার অন-অ্যারাইভাল ভিসা পরবর্তী নির্দেশ না দেয়া পর্যন্ত স্থগিত থাকবে।
মঙ্গলবার (১৬ জুন) স্বরাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের সুরক্ষা সেবা বিভাগ থেকে স্পেশাল ব্রাঞ্চের অতিরিক্ত মহাপুলিশ পরিদর্শকের কাছে পাঠানো নির্দেশনায় এ কথা জানানো হয়েছে।
এতে বলা হয়, শুধুমাত্র বিদেশি বিনিয়োগকারী ও ব্যবসায়ীদের বিদ্যমান ভিসা নীতিমালার আলোকে বাংলাদেশে আগমী ভিসা প্রদান করা যাবে। সেক্ষেত্রে বাংলাদেশে প্রবেশের সময় ভিসা প্রার্থীকে ৭২ ঘণ্টার মধ্যে ইস্যুকৃত পিসিআর কোভিড-১৯ মুক্ত সনদ (ইংরেজিতে অনুবাদ করা) এবং তিনি এদেশের একজন প্রকৃত বিনিয়োগকারী/ব্যবসায়ী মর্মে প্রয়োজনীয় প্রত্যয়ন ও এ সংক্রান্ত আনুষঙ্গিক কাগজপত্র ইমিগ্রেশন কাউন্টারে জমা দিতে হবে।
এর আগে দফায় দফায় স্থগিতের মেয়াদ বাড়ানো হয়েছিল। অন-অ্যারাইভাল ভিসা স্থগিতের মেয়াদ ছিল ১৫ জুন পর্যন্ত। করোনাভাইরাসের (কোভিড-১৯) সংক্রমণ রোধে প্রথমে গত ১৫ মার্চ থেকে ৩১ মার্চ পর্যন্ত বাংলাদেশে সব ধরনের অন-অ্যারাইভাল ভিসা স্থগিত ঘোষণা করে সরকার। এরপর বন্ধ হয়ে যায় বিমান যোগাযোগও। পরে সাধারণ ছুটির সঙ্গে তাল মিলিয়ে দফায় দফায় বিমান চলাচলের উপর নিষেধাজ্ঞার মেয়াদ বাড়ানো হয়। একই সঙ্গ বাড়ে অন-অ্যারাইভাল ভিসা স্থগিতের মেয়াদ।
