যশোর প্রতিনিধি : যশোরের বেনাপোল সীমান্ত থেকে ২০০ পিস ইয়াবা ট্যাবলেটসহ এক দম্পতিকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ।
শুক্রবার (২১ আগষ্ট) গভীর রাতে বেনাপোল পোর্ট থানার ভবের বেড় গ্রাম থেকে তাদের আটক করে পোর্ট থানা পুলিশ।
আটককৃতরা হলো, বেনাপোল পৌর এলাকার ভবের বেড় গ্রামের শাহিন হোসেন (৪০) ও তার স্ত্রী সায়রা খাতুন (৩৬)।
পুলিশ জানায়, গোপন খবর আসে, ভবেরবেড় গ্রামের এক বাড়িতে মাদক ব্যবসায়ীরা মাদক বেচাকেনা করছে। এমন সংবাদে পুলিশ সেখানে অভিযান চালিয়ে ২০০ দুই পিস ইয়াবা সহ তাদেরকে আটক করে।
বেনাপোল পোর্ট থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মামুন খান জানান, আটক আসামিদের বিরুদ্ধে মাদক আইনে মামলা দিয়ে তাদেরকে যশোর আদালতে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
