জেলা প্রতিনিধি, কুষ্টিয়া : কুষ্টিয়া সদর উপজেলার পাটিকাবাড়ি ইউনিয়নে যুবলীগের নাম ব্যবহার করে নিবন্ধনহীন যুবলীগ সমবায় সমিতি খুলে বসেছে পাটিকাবাড়ি ইউনিয়ন যুবলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শাখাওয়াত হোসেন।
বাংলাদেশ আওয়ামী লীগের অন্যতম সহযোগী সংগঠন যুবলীগের নাম ব্যবহার করে সমবায় সমিতি করায় ক্ষুব্ধ প্রতিক্রিয়া জানিয়েছেন কুষ্টিয়া জেলা যুবলীগের নেতা কর্মীরা।
তথ্যসুত্রে জানা যায়, পাটিকাবাড়ি ইউনিয়ন যুবলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শাখাওয়াত হোসেন এই সমবায় সমিতির সভাপতি। তার নেতৃত্বে অসৎ ফায়দা লুটতে যুবলীগের নাম ব্যবহার করে গড়ে তোলা হয়েছে সমবায় সমিতি। এলাকাতে ত্রাসের রাজনীতি কায়েম করতে নিবন্ধনহীন এ সময়বায় সমিতি গঠন করা হয়েছে। যাতে লাঠিয়াল হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হচ্ছে প্রায় ১০০ সদস্য। যা ঐতিহ্যবাহী সংগঠন যুবলীগের ভাবমূর্তি ক্ষুন্ন করছে।
এ বিষয়ে এলাকাবাসী জানায়, ক্ষমতা দাপট দেখিয়ে বাধ্য করা হয় সদস্য হতে। সদস্য হতে না চাইলে বিভিন্ন ধরনের হুমকি- প্রদান করা হয়।
এ বিষয়ে অভিযুক্ত পাটিকাবাড়ি ইউনিয়ন যুবলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক ও যুবলীগ সমবায় সমিতির সভাপতি শাখাওয়াত হোসেন বলেন, যুবলীগের নাম ব্যবহার করে সমবায় সমিতি করা ঠিক হয়নি। আমরা দ্রুত যুবলীগের নাম বাদ দিয়ে সমবায় সমিতির নাম প্রকাশ করবো।
কুষ্টিয়া সদর উপজেলা সমবায় অফিসার জহুরা খানম জানায়, কোন যুবলীগ সমবায় সমিতি নামে কোন সমিতি আমাদের এখান থেকে রেজিষ্ট্রেশন দেওয়া হয়নি। তাছাড়া রাজনৈতিক দলের নামে কোন সমবায় সমিতি গঠনের কোন সুযোগ নেই। যদি এ ধরনের অভিযোগ সত্য হয় সমবায় দপ্তরের নিয়ম অনুসারে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা হবে।
