আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : অবশেষে মুক্তি পেলেন কাশ্মীরের সাবেক মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মেহবুবা মুফতি। গত বছরের আগস্টে আটক করা হয়েছিল তাকে। মঙ্গলবার (১৩ অক্টোবর) তার মুক্তির খবর প্রকাশ করেছেন কাশ্মীরের প্রশাসনিক মুখপাত্র রোহিত কানসাল।

টুইট বার্তায় মুফতির মুক্তির খবর জানিয়েছেন তার মেয়ে ইলতিজাও। তিনি লিখেছেন, মুফতিকে অবৈধভাবে বন্দি রাখার দিন শেষ হলো। প্রত্যেককে পাশে থাকার জন্য ধন্যবাদ। সবার কাছে তিনি কৃতজ্ঞ বলে জানিয়েছেন।

মায়ের টুইট অ্যাকাউন্টটি ব্যবহার করেন ইলতিজা। আগামী ১৬ অক্টোবর মুফতি সাংবাদিকদের নিয়ে বৈঠক করবেন বলে পিডিপির পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে। ওমর আব্দুল্লা ও মুফতির মুক্তি পাওয়ার খবরকে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন।

গত বছর ৫ আগস্ট ৩৭০ ধারা অবলুপ্তির সময় আটক করা হয় রাজ্যের সমস্ত বড় নেতাদের। শুধু ৩৭০ ধারা অবলুপ্তি নয় রাজ্যকে দ্বিখণ্ডিত করে দুটি কেন্দ্রীয় শাসিত অঞ্চল তৈরি করা হয়। এরপর ধাপে ধাপে ফারুক ও ওমর আবদুল্লাসহ সব বড় নেতাদের ছেড়ে দেয় প্রশাসন। শুধু বাকি ছিলেন মেহবুবা মুফতি।

তার মুক্তির আবেদন করে সুপ্রিম কোর্টে যান তার কন্যা। সেই মামলা চলছিল, তার মধ্যেই মেহবুবাকে মুক্তি দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার। জুলাই মাসে পাবলিক সেফটি অ্যাক্ট অনুযায়ী তিন মাসের জন্য মেহবুবা মুফতির আটকের মেয়াদ বৃদ্ধি করা হয়। সেই আদেশ নতুন করে ফের দিল না কেন্দ্র।
