আবরার হত্যা : জবানবন্দি গ্রহণকারী ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেটের সাক্ষ্য

নিজস্ব প্রতিবেদক : বাংলাদেশ প্রকৌশল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের (বুয়েট) শিক্ষার্থী আবরার ফাহাদকে পিটিয়ে হত্যার ঘটনার দায়ের করা মামলায় ৮তম দিনে সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছেন ঢাকার চিফ মেট্রোপলিটন ম্যাজিস্ট্রট সরাফুজ্জামান আনছারী।

বুধবার (১৪ অক্টোবর) ঢাকার দ্রুত বিচার ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১ এর বিচারক আবু জাফর মো. কামরুজ্জামানের আদালতে তিনি সাক্ষ্য দিচ্ছেন। তিনি আসামির জবানবন্দি রেকর্ড করছিলেন।

৫ অক্টোবর মামলাটির প্রথম সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ শুরু হয়। ২৭ অক্টোবর পর্যন্ত সাক্ষ্য গ্রহণ চলবে। মাঝে সরকারি ছুটির দিন বাদ যাবে। মামলার ৬০ জন সাক্ষীর মধ্যে সাতজনের সাক্ষ্য শেষ হয়েছে।

ফেসবুকে স্ট্যাটাস দেয়ার জেরে বুয়েট শিক্ষার্থী আবরার ফাহাদকে ২০১৯ সালের ৬ অক্টোবর রাতে ডেকে নেয় বুয়েট শাখা ছাত্রলীগের কয়েকজন নেতাকর্মী। এরপর রাত ৩টার দিকে শেরেবাংলা হলের নিচতলা ও দোতলার সিঁড়ির করিডোর থেকে তার মরদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়।

পরদিন ৭ অক্টোবর দুপুরে ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতাল মর্গে আবরারের ময়নাতদন্ত সম্পন্ন হয়। নিহত আবরার বুয়েটের ইলেকট্রিক্যাল অ্যান্ড ইলেকট্রনিক ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং বিভাগের দ্বিতীয় বর্ষের শিক্ষার্থী ছিলেন। শেরেবাংলা হলের ১০১১ নম্বর কক্ষে থাকতেন তিনি।

ওই ঘটনায় নিহতের বাবা বরকত উল্লাহ বাদী হয়ে চকবাজার থানায় ১৯ জনের বিরুদ্ধে হত্যা মামলা করেন। ২০১৯ সালের ১৩ নভেম্বর ঢাকা মহানগর হাকিম আদালতে ২৫ জনকে অভিযুক্ত করে চার্জশিট দাখিল করেন মামলার তদন্তকারী কর্মকর্তা ডিবি পুলিশের পরিদর্শক ওয়াহিদুজ্জামান।

অভিযুক্ত ২৫ জনের মধ্যে এজাহারনামীয় ১৯ জন এবং তদন্তে প্রাপ্ত এজাহারবহির্ভূত ছয়জন রয়েছেন। এজাহারভুক্ত ১৯ জনের মধ্যে ১৬ জন এবং এজাহারবহির্ভূত ছয়জনের মধ্যে পাঁচজনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। গ্রেফতারদের মধ্যে আদালতে স্বীকারোক্তিমূলক জবানবন্দি দিয়েছেন আটজন।

গ্রেফতার ২২ জন হলেন- মেহেদী হাসান রাসেল, মো. অনিক সরকার, ইফতি মোশাররফ সকাল, মো. মেহেদী হাসান রবিন, মো. মেফতাহুল ইসলাম জিওন, মুনতাসির আলম জেমি, খন্দকার তাবাখখারুল ইসলাম তানভির, মো. মুজাহিদুর রহমান, মুহতাসিম ফুয়াদ, মো. মনিরুজ্জামান মনির, মো. আকাশ হোসেন, হোসেন মোহাম্মদ তোহা, মাজেদুর রহমান, শামীম বিল্লাহ, মোয়াজ আবু হুরায়রা, এ এস এম নাজমুস সাদাত, ইসতিয়াক আহম্মেদ মুন্না, অমিত সাহা, মো. মিজানুর রহমান ওরফে মিজান, শামসুল আরেফিন রাফাত, মোর্শেদ অমত্য ইসলাম ও এস এম মাহমুদ সেতু।

মামলার তিন আসামি এখনও পলাতক। তারা হলেন- মোর্শেদুজ্জামান জিসান, এহতেশামুল রাব্বি তানিম ও মোস্তবা রাফিদ। তাদের মধ্যে প্রথম দুজন এজাহারভুক্ত ও শেষের জন এজাহারবহির্ভূত আসামি।

১৫ সেপ্টেম্বর ঢাকার দ্রুত বিচার ট্রাইব্যুনাল-১ এর বিচারক আবু জাফর মো. কামরুজ্জামান আসামিদের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ গঠন করেন। এ সময় কারাগারে থাকা ২২ আসামি নিজেদের নির্দোষ দাবি করে আদালতের কাছে ন্যায়বিচার প্রত্যাশা করেন।
