সভায় অর্থ মন্ত্রণালয়সহ সংশ্লিষ্টদের করোনার সেকেন্ড ওয়েভ মোকাবিলায় আর্থিক প্রণোদনার একটি পরিকল্পনা করার নির্দেশ দেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
‘সকলের সঙ্গে সমৃদ্ধি পথে’ স্লোগানে অষ্টম পঞ্চবার্ষিক পরিকল্পনার (২০২১-২০২৫) চূড়ান্ত খসড়া উপস্থাপন করেন পরিকল্পনা কমিশনের সাধারণ অর্থনীতি বিভাগের (জিইডি)) সদস্য (সিনিয়র সচিব) ড. শামসুল আলম।
