জেলা প্রতিনিধি, কুষ্টিয়া : কুষ্টিয়ায় মা ও শিশু পুনর্বাসন কেন্দ্রের বৃদ্ধাশ্রমের মায়েদেরকে খাবার বিতরণ করলেন বিশিষ্ট সমাজ সেবিকা লায়লা নাজনীন রত্না। এছাড়াও গতকাল বিকেলে বিদ্বাশ্রমের অবস্থানগত মায়েদের সঙ্গে অনেকক্ষণ সময় কাটালেন তিনি। সে সময় মায়েরা তাদের বাস্তব চিত্র তুলে ধরেন কি জন্য এই বৃদ্ধাশ্রমের রয়েছে।

সমাজসেবিকা লায়লা নাজনীন রত্না ঢাকাতে পরিবার-পরিজন নিয়ে বসবাস করলেও তার মন পড়ে রয়েছে কুষ্টিয়া কোট পাড়াতে তার জন্মভূমি, এই মাটির টানে তিনি ইতিপূর্বে কুষ্টিয়ায় অসহায় ছিন্নমূল মানুষদেরকে সাহায্য সহযোগিতা করেছেন। তারই ধারাবাহিকতায় গতকাল বিকেলে অসহায় মায়েদের জন্য কিছু খাবার নিয়ে ছুটে যান বৃদ্ধাশ্রমে, জান তাদের মুখে একটু হাসি ফোটানোর জন্য।

সমাজসেবিকা রত্না উক্ত মায়েদের সঙ্গে কথা বলার সময় বলেন, আমার বাবা-মা এই পৃথিবীর মায়া ত্যাগ করে চলে গেছেন। সেজন্যই আমি ঢাকা থেকে ছুটে এসেছি আপনাদের কাছে আপনাদেরকে মাঝে আমি আমার পিতা-মাতাকে খুঁজে পেতে চাই, তার কথায় সকল মায়েরা আবেগে আপ্লুত হয়ে পড়েন।তিনি এটাও বলেন, আমার এক ছেলে ও এক মেয়ে আছে তাদেরকেও আমি আমার মত করেই গড়ে তোলার চেষ্টা করছি।

খাবার বিতরণের সময় মা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন কেন্দ্রের চেয়ারম্যান ইফতেখার হোসেন মিঠু উপস্থিত ছিলেন, এছাড়াও উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশিষ্ট সমাজসেবক ও সাংবাদিক কে এম শাহীন রেজা এবং সকলের ছোট ভাই সাকিব। খাবার বিতরণের শেষে প্রতিষ্ঠানের চেয়ারম্যান দোয়া পাঠ করে মোনাজাত করেন।
