আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : বিতর্কিত সামরিক অভ্যুত্থানের বিরুদ্ধে ফুঁসে উঠেছে মিয়ানমার। সেনাবাহিনীর ডাকা কারফিউ ভেঙে সড়কে জড়ো হয়েছেন হাজার হাজার মানুষ। সোমবার (২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিক্ষোভকারীদের ডাকা ধর্মঘটে অচল হয়ে পড়েছে গোটা দেশ। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে আন্দোলনরতদের ওপর নিরাপত্তা বাহিনী আরও সহিংস হয়ে উঠতে পারে এবং প্রাণহানি ঘটতে পারে বলে আশংকা করা হচ্ছে।
ব্রিটিশ বার্তা সংস্থা রয়টার্সের খবরে বলা হয়, ক্ষমতা দখলকারী জান্তা সরকারের রক্তচক্ষু উপেক্ষা করে শহরের রাস্তায় রাস্তায় বিক্ষোভ করছেন সাধারণ বার্মিজরা। শনিবার (২০ ফেব্রুয়ারি) মান্দালয়ে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর গুলিতে দুই জন নিহতের পর সংঘাত আরও প্রাণ কেড়ে নিতে পারে বলে বিক্ষোভকারীদের প্রতি হুঁশিয়ারি উচ্চারণ করেছে কর্তৃপক্ষ।
সেনা সদস্যদের মোতায়েন এবং নতুন নির্বাচনের প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্ত্বেও মিয়ানমারের জেনারেলরা দেশটিতে দুই সপ্তাহেরও বেশি সময় ধরে ১ ফেব্রুয়ারির অভ্যুত্থানের বিরোধিতা এবং অং সান সু চিসহ আটকদের মুক্তির দাবিতে চলা বিক্ষোভ ও আইন অমান্য কর্মসূচি বন্ধে ব্যর্থ হয়েছে।
অভ্যুত্থান বিরোধী আন্দোলনের পরিচিত মুখ মং সৌংখা সবাইকে বিক্ষোভে আসার আহ্বান জানিয়ে ফেসবুক পোস্টে বলেন, যাদের বাইরে আসার সাহস নেই, তারা ঘরে থাকুন। যেভাবেই হোক আমি বাইরে বের হব। আমি জেনারেশন জেডকে (চলতি শতকের দ্বিতীয় দশকে যারা প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক হয়েছে) প্রত্যাশা করছি। পার্টনাররা, চল একত্রিত হই।
রবিবার জান্তা বিরোধী বিক্ষোভে নিহত তরুণীর মরদেহে হাজারো মানুষ শ্রদ্ধা জানায়। রাজধানী নেপিদোতে মিয়া থিউ থিউ খাইং নামে কিশোরীর শেষকৃত্যে মানুষের ঢল নামে। গত ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি সু চি সরকারকে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত করার পর জান্তা বিরোধী বিক্ষোভে নিহত তিনজনের মধ্যে ওই তরুণী ছিলেন প্রথম।
গেল ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি মিয়ানমারের সেনাবাহিনী ২০২০ সালের নভেম্বরে অনুষ্ঠিত জাতীয় নির্বাচনে ব্যাপক ভোট কারচুপির অভিযোগ তুলে সু চিকে ক্ষমতাচ্যুত করে। সেনাবাহিনী নতুন নির্বাচন দিয়ে ক্ষমতা হস্তান্তরের আশ্বাস দিয়েছে। কিন্তু প্রতিবাদকারীরা সেনাবাহিনীর আশ্বাসকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করে গ্রেপ্তারকৃত সকল নেতৃবৃন্দের মুক্তির দাবিতে বিক্ষোভ করে যাচ্ছে।
