বিনোদন ডেস্ক : চিত্রনায়ক শাহিন আলম লাইফ সাপোর্টে। কিডনির অসুখ মারাত্বক আকার ধারণ করেছে। বেশ কয়েক বছর ধরেই তিনি ভুগছেন। চিকিৎসাও নিচ্ছেন নিয়মিত। সম্প্রতি তার শরীর হঠাৎ বেশি খারাপ হলে গত সপ্তাহে রাজধানীর আজগর আলী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়।
অবস্থার উন্নতি না হওয়ায় গেল শনিবার (৬ মার্চ) তাকে লাইফ সাপোর্টে নেয়া হয়েছে। এ তথ্য সাংবাদিকদের নিশ্চিত করেছেন নায়কের একমাত্র ছেলে ফাহিম নূর আলম।
তিনি বলেন, ‘দীর্ঘ পাঁচটি বছর ধরে বাবা (শাহীন আলম) কিডনির সমস্যায় ভুগছেন। আমরা চেষ্টার কোনো ত্রুটি রাখিনি। গেল শনিবার রাতে বাবার অবস্থা খারাপ হয়ে পড়ে। তখন দ্রুত তাকে লাইফ সাপোর্টে নেওয়া হয়।’
দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই সিনেমাতে অনিয়মিত ছিলেন শাহীন আলম। হঠা করে ২০১৯ সালে খবর পাওয়া যায় তিনি গুলিস্তানে কাপড়ের ব্যবসা করে দিনাতিপাত করছেন। নিজে কিডনি রোগে আক্রান্ত। পরিবারের তিনি ছাড়া আর কেউ উপার্জনক্ষম নেই। পরিবারের খরচ মিটিয়ে নিজের দীর্ঘমেয়াদী চিকিৎসার খরচ চালিয়ে বিপর্যস্ত তার আর্থিক অবস্থা।
তার ওপর করোনার সময়টাতে ব্যবসা বন্ধ ছিলো। খুবই করুণ দিন পার করেছেন তিনি সংসার নিয়ে। এসময় হঠাৎ শাহীন আলমের এই সংকটাপন্ন অবস্থা অকূল সাগরে যেন ভাসিয়ে দিয়েছে তার পরিবারকে। সেই অসহায়ত্বের কথা জানিয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার কাছে সাহায্য কামনা করেছেন শাহীন আলমের ছেলে ফাহিম।
তিনি বলেন, ‘দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই বাবা চিকিৎসা নিচ্ছেন। বলা চলে চিকিৎসার উপরই বাবা টিকে আছেন। এতে করে আমাদের পরিবারের আর্থিক অবস্থা নাজেহাল। লাইফ সাপোর্টে নেয়ার পর খরচটা অনেক বেড়ে গেছে। প্রতিদিন ১ লাখ টাকা ব্যয় হচ্ছে। এই অর্থের যোগান দিতে গিয়ে আমরা একেবারে অসহায় হয়ে পড়েছি। দুচোখে এখন সত্যি অন্ধকার দেখছি।’
‘মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা শিল্প সংস্কৃতির সঙ্গে জড়িতদের পাশে সবসময়ই থাকেন। অনেক দৃষ্টান্তই দেখেছি। সেই ভরসায় আমরাও তার সহায়তা পাওয়ার প্রত্যাশা করছি। তিনি যদি পাশে দাঁড়ান হয়তো ভালো চিকিৎসা নিয়ে আবার সুস্থ হয়ে বাড়ি ফিরতে পারবেন বাবা’- যোগ করেন শাহীন আলমের ছেলে।
প্রসঙ্গত, ১৯৮৬ সালের এফডিসির নতুন মুখের সন্ধানের মাধ্যমে চলচ্চিত্রে পা রাখেন শাহিন আলম। এরপর বেশকিছু সিনেমায় অভিনয় করে পরিচিতি পান তিনি। প্রয়াত চিত্রনায়ক সালমান শাহের সঙ্গেও কাজ করেছেন এই চিত্রনায়ক। দুই বাংলায় প্রশংসিত ‘হঠাৎ বৃষ্টি’ সিনেমাতেও অভিনয় করে নজর কেড়েছিলেন তিনি।
