মুন্সিগঞ্জের সিরাজদিখানে তুলশীখালী এলাকায় ট্রাকচাপায় সিএনজি চালকসহ তিনজন নিহত হয়েছে। এ দুর্ঘটনায় আহত হয়েছেন আরও তিন সিএনজি যাত্রী।
রোববার সকাল ৮টায় উপজেলার ঢাকা-নবাবগঞ্জ সড়কের তুলশীখালী ব্রিজের ঢালে এ দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে।
নিহত সিএনজি চালক উজ্জল (৩৫) কেরানীগঞ্জের মোঘারচর গ্রামের ফকিরচানের ছেলে, মামুন (৩৮) ঠাকুরগাঁও জেলার রানীশংকইল থানার পার্বতীপুর গ্রামের মেহের আলীর ছেলে। তবে অপর নিহতের পরিচয় এখনো জানা যায়নি।
সিরাজদিখান থানার উপ-পরিদর্শক (এসআই) মীর শহিদুর ঘটনার সত্যতা নিশ্চিত করে জানান, সকালে ঢাকা-নবাবগঞ্জ সড়কে ঢাকাগামী যাত্রীবাহী সিএনজিকে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা একটি ট্রাক চাপা দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই সিএনজি চালক মারা যান।
আহত পাঁচ যাত্রীকে হাসপাতালে নেয়ার পথে একজন ও চিকিৎসাধীন অবস্থায় আরো একজনের মৃত্যু হয়। বাকি আহতরা সবাই মিটফোর্ড হাসপাতালে আছেন। ঘাতক ট্রাকটি জব্দ করা সম্ভব হয়নি।
