ময়মনসিংহের নান্দাইলে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের হাতে শিশুসহ ৪০ যাত্রী নিয়ে ধরা পড়েছে একটি ট্রাক। এ সময় ট্রাকচালককে ৫ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করলেও যাত্রীসহ ট্রাকটি মানবিক বিবেচনায় ছেড়ে দেন ইউএনও।
সোমবার (০৫ এপ্রিল) দুপুর ১২টার দিকে ময়মনসিংহ-কিশোরগঞ্জ সড়কের নান্দাইল মডেল থানার সামনে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
স্থানীয় সূত্র জানায়, যাত্রীবেঝাই ট্রাকটি ভৈরব থেকে নারী ও শিশুসহ ৪০ যাত্রী নিয়ে ময়মনসিংহ সদরের উদ্দেশে যাচ্ছিল। পথিমধ্যে নান্দাইল মডেল থানার সামনে আসতেই ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের কাছে ধরা পড়ে ট্রাকটি। পরে নান্দাইল উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা ট্রাকচালককে ৫ হাজার জরিমানা করে যাত্রীসহ ট্রাকটি ছেড়ে দেন।
ট্রাকে থাকা পুরুষ যাত্রীরা জানান, তারা সবাই বরিশালে থেকে কাজ করেন। লকডাউনের কথা শুনে গতকাল বরিশাল থেকে রওনা দেন। বরিশাল থেকে প্রথমে লঞ্চে ঢাকায় আসেন। ঢাকা থেকে ময়মনসিংহগামী কোনো বাসে উঠতে না পেরে প্রথমে কিশোরগঞ্জে আসেন। পরে সেখান থেকে ভৈরবে আসেন। ভৈরব থেকে ময়মনসিংহে আসার পথে নান্দাইলে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালতের কাছে ধরা পড়েন। ট্রাকে ধাকা যাত্রীরা সবাই ময়মনসিংহ সদর উপজেলার বাসিন্দা বলে জানিয়েছেন।
এ বিষয়ে জানতে নান্দাইল উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা এরশাদ উদ্দিনের নম্বরে একাধিকবার ফোন করলেও তিনি কেটে দেন।
