ময়মনসিংহে নেশার টাকার জন্য স্ত্রীকে মারধর করায় ছেলের হাতে খুন হয়েছেন দেলু মিয়া (৪৫) নামে এক ব্যক্তি। এ ঘটনায় ছেলে জয়কে (২০) গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ।
নিহত দেলু মিয়া নগরীর কৃষ্টপুর দিল রওশন জামে মসজিদের পেছনে স্ত্রী-সন্তান নিয়ে বসবাস করতেন। তিনি ভাঙ্গারীর ব্যবসা করতেন। শনিবার (১০ এপ্রিল) দিবাগত মধ্যরাতে এ ঘটনা ঘটে।
বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন ময়মনসিংহ কোতোয়ালি মডেল থানার ওসি ফিরুজ তালুকদার।
তিনি বলেন, ঘটনার দিন রাতে কাজ শেষ করে বাসায় ফিরে দুলু মিয়া নেশার টাকার জন্য তার স্ত্রীকে মারধর করতে থাকেন। এ সময় ছেলে জয় বাধা দিলে তাকেও মারতে থাকেন দুলু।
এমতাবস্থায় হাতের কাছে থাকা কাঁচ দিয়ে বাবার শরীরে আঘাত করেন জয়। পরে গুরুতর আহত অবস্থায় হাসপাতালে নেয়া হলে কর্তব্যরত চিকিৎসক তাকে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন।
তিনি আরও বলেন, মরদেহ ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য মর্গে রাখা হয়েছে। এ ঘটনার পর অভিযান চালিয়ে ছেলে জয়কে গ্রেফতার করা হয়েছে। মামলা দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি চলছে বলেও জানান তিনি।
