প্রত্যক্ষদর্শীদের বরাতে পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, গাড়ি থেকে নেমে অজ্ঞাত লোকটিকে একাধিক গুলি করে পালিয়ে যায় হত্যাকারী।
হ্যামট্রামক পুলিশ কর্তৃপক্ষ জানিয়েছে, তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে ঘটনার ব্যাপারে বিস্তারিত বিবরণ জানা সম্ভব হয়নি। পুলিশ এই ঘটনার তদন্ত করছে।
সাম্প্রতিককালে শহরে নানা ধরণের অপরাধ প্রবণতা বেড়েছে। এ কারণে বাংলা ভাষাভাষী অধ্যুষিত এই শহরের কমিউনিটির লোকজন চলাফেরায় স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য বোধ করছেন না।
