করোনাভাইরাস সংক্রমণ রোধে চলমান লকডাউনের (বিধিনিষেধ) মধ্যে আগামী ৬ মে থেকে জেলার মধ্যে গণপরিবহন চলবে। তবে দূর পাল্লার বাস (আন্তঃজেলা বাস) বন্ধ থাকবে। একই সঙ্গে বন্ধ থাকবে ট্রেন ও লঞ্চ।
সোমবার (৩ মে) সচিবালয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব খন্দকার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম মন্ত্রিসভা বৈঠকের প্রেস ব্রিফিংয়ে এ তথ্য জানান। চাঁদ দেখা সাপেক্ষে আগামী ১৩ বা ১৪ মে দেশে মুসলমানদের সবচেয়ে বড় ধর্মীয় উৎসব পবিত্র ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপিত হবে।
চলমান বিধিনিষেধের মেয়াদ আগামী ১৬ মে পর্যন্ত বাড়ানো হচ্ছে জানিয়ে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব বলেন, ‘আজকে (মন্ত্রিসভা বৈঠকে) সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছে লকডাউন যেটা আছে সেটা ১৬ মে পর্যন্ত এভাবেই কন্টিনিউ করবে। ৬ মে থেকে গণপরিবহন জেলার মধ্যে চলাচল করতে পারবে। আন্তঃজেলা বাস চলাচল করতে পারবে না। ঢাকার বাস ঢাকার মধ্যে চলাচল করবে। এছাড়া লঞ্চ ও ট্রেন বন্ধ থাকবে।’
তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘গণপরিবহন মালিকরা আমাদের কথা দিয়েছেন, কোনভাবেই গণপরিবহনে স্বাস্থ্যবিধি লঙ্ঘন করা হবে না। লঙ্ঘন করা হলে বন্ধ করে দেয়া হবে। সেই নির্দেশনাও দেয়া আছে। সেটা আমরা দেখব।’
