ফেনীর পরশুরাম থেকে অপহৃত স্কুলছাত্রীকে (১৬) দুইদিন পর কুষ্টিয়ার কুমারখালী থেকে উদ্ধার করেছে পরশুরাম থানার পুলিশ।
শনিবার (২৯ মে) দুপুরে কুষ্টিয়া ডিবি পুলিশের সহযোগিতায় কুমারখালীতে অভিযান চালিয়ে তাকে উদ্ধার করা হয়।
এ ঘটনায় আরমান বিশ্বাস (২১) নামের একজনকে আটক করেছে পুলিশ।
স্কুলছাত্রীর বাবা বাদী হয়ে নারী ও শিশু নির্যাতন দমন আইনে পরশুরাম থানায় একটি মামলা দায়ের করেছেন।
পুলিশ জানায়, পরশুরামের স্থানীয় একটি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের দশম শ্রেণির ওই ছাত্রী মোবাইল ফোনে আরমান বিশ্বাস (২১) নামের যুবকের সঙ্গে সম্পর্কে জড়ায়।
আরমান বিশ্বাস কুষ্টিয়া জেলার কুমারখালীর মো. আক্কাচ বিশ্বাস এর ছেলে।
জানা যায়, আরমান বিশ্বাস ওই স্কুল ছাত্রীকে গত বৃহস্পতিবার (২৭ মে) বিকেলে পরশুরাম থেকে অপহরণ করে নিয়ে যায়।
মেয়েকে খুঁজে না পেয়ে তার বাবা বাদী হয়ে মেয়ের সন্ধান চেয়ে পরশুরাম মডেল থানায় ২৭ মে একটি সাধারণ ডায়েরি করেন। জিডির দেওয়া তথ্যের উপর ভিত্তি করে পরশুরাম মডেল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মু. খালেদ হোসেন এর নেতৃত্বে এসআই মশিউর রহমান ও এসআই রেজাউল করিম সহ শুক্রবার (২৮ মে) দুপুরে পুলিশ প্রযুক্তির সহায়তায় আরমান বিশ্বাসের অবস্থান নিশ্চিত করে।
এরপর পুলিশ কুষ্টিয়া ডিবি পুলিশের সহয়তায় তার বাড়িতে অভিযান চালিয়ে ওই ছাত্রীকে উদ্ধার করে এবং অভিযুক্ত আরমান বিশ্বাসকে আটক করে।
প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে আরমান বিশ্বাস পুলিশের কাছে ঘটনার দায় স্বীকার করেছে।
পরশুরাম মডেল থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মু. খালেদ হোসেন জানান, প্রযুক্তির সহায়তায় কুষ্টিয়া ডিবি পুলিশকে সঙ্গে নিয়ে পরশুরাম থানা পুলিশের একটি টিম কুষ্টিয়ার কুমারখালী থেকে অপহৃত স্কুল ছাত্রীকে উদ্ধার করে এবং অভিযুক্ত আরমান বিশ্বাসকে আটক করে।
