জেলার সাভারের আশুলিয়ায় সবজি ক্ষেত অজ্ঞাত পরিচয় এক ব্যক্তির বস্তা বন্দী অর্ধগলিত মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। মরদেহ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য ঢাকার সেহারাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানোর প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।
সোমবার দুপুর ১২টার দিকে আশুলিয়ার এনাতেপুর এলাকার সাবেক ইউপি সদস্য দেওয়ান হাবিবুর রহমানের সবজি ক্ষেত মরদেহটি উদ্ধার করা হয়।
নিহতের মরদেহের নাম-পরিচয় জানাতে পারেনি পুলিশ।
সবজি ক্ষেতের মালিক হাবিব বলেন, আজ আমার ক্ষেতের পাশের বাড়িতে কুলখানির আয়োজন হয়েছে। সেখানে থাকা মানুষ প্রথমে গন্ধ পায়। পরে আমার ক্ষেতে গিয়ে বস্তার ভেতর মানুষের মরদেহ দেখতে পায় । বিষয়টি আমাকে জানালে আমি দ্রুত পুলিশকে খবর দেই। পুলিশ এসে মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে। আমার ওই ক্ষেত থেকে গতকাল বিকেলেও সবজি কেটেছি, কোনো কিছুই ছিলো না। সকালেও গেটে তালাবদ্ধ ছিলো। রাতে কেউ ওখানে মরদেহ ফেলে গেছে বলে ধারনা করছি।
এ বিষয়ে আশুলিয়া থানার উপ-পরিদর্শক (এস আই) শফি উল্লাহ বলেন, খবর পেয়ে ঘটনা স্থলে এসে বস্তাবন্দি মরদেহটি উদ্ধার করি। প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারনা করছি, তাকে ৩-৪ দিন আগে হত্যা করা হয়ছ্। পরে সুযোগ বুঝে গত রাতের কোনো এক সময় এখানে ফেলে গেছে। নিহতের পরিচয় জানার চেষ্টা চলছে। এছাড়াও মরদেহ ময়না তদন্তের জন্য ঢাকার সেহারাওয়ার্দী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠানোর প্রক্রিয়া চলছে।
তিনি আরও জানান, হত্যার কারন ও অপরাধীদের খঁজে বের করার চেষ্টা করা হচ্ছে। সেই সাথে বিষয়টি নিয়ে থানায় একটি অপমৃত্যুর মামলা দায়ের করা হবে।
