সম্পূর্ণ কালো রঙের ষাঁড় দুটিকে শখ করে কালা ও বোল্ট নামে ডাকেন ঢাকার নবাবগঞ্জ উপজেলার পুরাতন বান্দুরা এলাকার বান্দুরা এগ্রোর খামারি সাঈদ টুটুল। কোরবানির ঈদকে সামনে রেখে গরু দুটি ভালো দামে বিক্রির অপেক্ষায় দিন গুনছেন তিনি।
শাহীওয়াল জাতের ষাঁড় দুটি সাধারণ মানুষজনের নজর কাড়ছে। খামারি ষাঁড় দুটির দাম হেঁকেছেন একেকটি সাত লাখ টাকা করে। দাবি করেন, উপজেলার মধ্যে তার ষাঁড় আকার-আকৃতিতে সবচেয়ে বড়।
জানা যায়, দুই বছর আগে শাহীওয়াল এই জাতের ষাঁড় কালাকে রাজশাহীর সিটি হাট থেকে ও বোল্টকে কেরানীগঞ্জ উপজেলার হযরতপুর হাট থেকে ক্রয় করেন। সেই থেকে কোরবানির জন্য নিজের খামারে রেখে লালন-পালন করে বড় করে তুলেছেন তিনি। খামারে কোরবানির জন্য আরও ষাঁড় থাকলেও কালা ও বোল্ট একটু আলাদা। সম্পূর্ণ প্রাকৃতিক খাদ্য খেয়ে বেড়ে উঠেছে তারা। উচ্চতা পাঁচ ফুটের উপরে এবং ফিতার মাপে একেকটি ষাঁড়ের ওজন ধরা হয়েছে প্রায় ১ হাজার কেজি।
সাঈদ টুটুল জানান, অনেক যত্ন করে কালা ও বোল্টকে কোরবানির জন্য প্রস্তুত করেছেন তিনি। তার ইচ্ছা করোনার লকডাউনের কারণে বাড়িতে রেখেই বিক্রি করবেন। সামনে করোনা পরিস্থিতি কোন পর্যায় দাঁড়ায় তা নিয়ে শঙ্কিত। তারপরও সবমিলিয়ে ভালো দামের প্রত্যাশা করেন তিনি।
তিনি আরও জানান, অনেকে দরদাম করছে তবে সন্তোষজনক দাম পেলে দুটোকেই ছেড়ে দেব। বর্তমানে একটি গরুকে কোরবানির জন্য প্রস্তুত করা অনেকটাই কষ্টসাধ্য। তারপরও কৃষক পর্যায়ে অনেকেই লালন-পালন করে থাকেন। যাতে বিক্রি করলে একসঙ্গে অনেকগুলো টাকা পাওয়া যায়।
নবাবগঞ্জ উপজেলা খামারি এসোসিয়েশনের সাধারণ সম্পাদক শফি সিকদার জানান, সাঈদ টুটুল একজন সৌখিন খামারি। সে তার খামারের পশুদের যেভাবে যত্ন নেন তা অন্য খামারিদের থেকে ব্যতিক্রম। পরিচ্ছন্ন পরিবেশে সে তার খামারের পশুকে যত্নের সঙ্গে লালন-পালন করে থাকেন।
