মহামারী করোনা পরিস্থিতিতে অসহায় ও দুঃস্থদের মাঝে মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা কর্তৃক উপহার সামগ্রী প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত থেকে বিতরণ করলেন কুষ্টিয়া জেলা আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি ও খোকসা উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান বীরমুক্তিযোদ্ধা আলহাজ্ব সদর উদ্দিন খান।
কুষ্টিয়া জেলা প্রশাসক মোঃ সাইদুল ইসলাম এর থোপ বরাদ্দের মাধ্যমে উপজেলা ত্রাণ ও পুনর্বাসন অফিসের বরাত দিয়ে খোকসা উপজেলা নির্বাহি অফিসার মেজবাহ্ উদ্দীন এর সভাপতিত্বে সোমবার দুপুরে উপজেলা খাদ্য গুদাম চত্বরে খোকসা মটর শ্রমিক চা দোকানদার ও স্থানীয় অসহায় দুস্থ ৫৩ জন মানুষের মাঝে ১০ কেজি করে চাউলের ত্রাণ বিতরণ করা হয়।
এ সময় আলহাজ্ব সদর উদ্দিন খান বলেন, মহামারী করোনাভাইরাসে এর আগেও মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রীর উপহার একাধিকবার বিতরণ করা হয়েছে। এরই ধারাবাহিকতায় আজ আবার অসহায় দুঃস্থদের মাঝে বিতরণ করা হলো। এ কার্যক্রম যতদিন মহামারী করোনাভাইরাস থাকবে ততদিন অব্যাহত থাকবে বলেও তিনি জানান।
উক্ত ত্রাণ বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন খোকসা উপজেলা পিআইও কর্মকর্তা জাহিদ হোসেন ও স্থানীয় প্রিন্ট ও ইলেকট্রনিক মিডিয়ার গণমাধ্যমকর্মীগণ।
