করোনা সংক্রমণ প্রতিরোধে আগামী শনিবার (৭ আগস্ট) থেকে ইউনিয়ন পর্যায়ে শুরু হচ্ছে সপ্তাহব্যাপী টিকাদান কর্মসূচি। এদিন সারাদেশে ৩২ লাখ মানুষকে টিকা দেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি নিয়েছে সরকার।
টিকা দেওয়ার প্রস্তুতি নিয়ে গতকাল বুধবার বিকেল অনলাইনে একটি সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। সভায় প্রতিটি জেলার জেলা প্রশাসক, সিভিল সার্জন, পুলিশ সুপার (এসপি), উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও), উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার পরিকল্পনা কর্মকর্তাসহ সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা অংশ নেন।
সভায় জানানো হয়, টিকা দিতে ইতোমধ্যে স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হয়েছে। এছাড়া কোন পর্যায়ে কয়টি করে টিকাকেন্দ্র হবে, কোথায় টিকাকেন্দ্রগুলো করা হবে, তা-ও ঠিক হয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে মাঠপর্যায়ে ইতিমধ্যে নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়েছে।
স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তর বলেছে, প্রতিটি ইউনিয়নে সপ্তাহে দু’দিন নিয়মিত টিকাদান ঠিক রাখা হবে। এর বাইরে তিনদিন করোনার টিকা দেওয়া হবে।
কোভিড-১৯ ভ্যাকসিন ব্যবস্থাপনা টাস্কফোর্স কমিটির সদস্যসচিব ডা. মো. শামসুল হক বলেন, একেক দিন প্রায় ৩২ লাখ ৩০ হাজার ৬০০ জনকে টিকা দেওয়ার লক্ষ্য ঠিক করা হয়েছে। কর্মসূচির প্রথম দিন এ রকম পরিমাণ টিকাই দেওয়া হবে। সারা দেশে ৮১ হাজার ১৬৫ জন স্বাস্থ্যকর্মী ও স্বেচ্ছাসেবী এ কাজে নিয়োজিত থাকবেন।
এর আগে ১ আগস্ট স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী জাহিদ মালেক জানান, সরকারের হাতে এখন প্রায় সোয়া কোটি টিকা আছে। এজন্য ৭ থেকে ১৪ আগস্টের মধ্যে সরকার এক কোটি টিকা দিতে চায়। আরও এক কোটির মতো টিকা এ মাসের মধ্যেই আসবে।
