স্থানীয় সূত্রে জানা যায় একুশে আগস্ট শনিবার বিকেলের দিকে শিশুটি ম্যাজিক লিচু নিয়ে খেলাধুলা করতে গিয়ে হঠাৎ গলার মধ্যে আটকে যায়। তৎক্ষণাৎ শিশু হোসাইনের পরিবার খোকসা উপজেলা স্বাস্থ্য কমপ্লেক্সের জরুরি বিভাগে আনা হয়।
দায়িত্বরত চিকিৎসক পথিক সাহা সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা চালায়ে শিশুটিকে বাঁচাতে পারেনি এ ব্যাপারে ডক্টর বলেন শিশুটি মৃত অবস্থায় আমাদের কাছে আসে আমরা সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে শিশুটিকে ফেরানো সম্ভব হয়নি এবং হোসাইন কে সন্ধ্যা সাতটার দিকে মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন।
শিশু হুসাইনের মৃত্যুতে হাসপাতালে আশপাশসহ তার এলাকায় কান্নায় ভারি হয়ে উঠে।
