নিহত লিটনের নানা আবু বক্কর মেম্বার জানান, দেশমা বাজারে দোকানের কাজকর্ম সেরে নাতিকে আমি দোকান থেকে বাড়ি যেতে বলি আর আমি আমার কাজের জন্য মেয়ের বাড়ি বিরামপুরে আসি। আজ রবিবার সকালে আমার মেয়ে রাবেয়া খাতুন আমাকে ছেলের মৃত্যুর সংবাদ জানালে আমি বিরামপুর থানা কে জানাই।
বিরামপুর থানার ওসি সুমন কুমার মহন্তের নেতৃত্বে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলের পরিদর্শন করেন। এ ব্যাপারে বিরামপুর থানায় একটি ইউডি মামলা হয়েছে।
