আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : মহামারি করোনা ভাইরাসে (কোভিড-১৯) গোটা বিশ্বে সাড়ে সাত হাজারের অধিক লোকের প্রাণহানি ঘটেছে। এমন পরিস্থিতিতে বিশ্বব্যাপী ভাইরাসটির সংক্রমণ ছড়িয়ে পড়ায় উৎপত্তিস্থল চীন ও ইসলামি প্রজাতন্ত্র ইরানকে দায়ী করছে যুক্তরাষ্ট্র।

ইরানি বার্তা সংস্থা পার্স টুডে জানিয়েছে, মঙ্গলবার (১৭ মার্চ) ওয়াশিংটনে প্রাণঘাতী ভাইরাসটির বর্তমান পরিস্থিতি জানাতে একটি সংবাদ সম্মেলনের আয়োজন করা হয়। মূলত সেখানেই যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে করোনা মোকাবিলায় ট্রাম্প প্রশাসনের ব্যর্থতা সংক্রান্ত এক প্রশ্নের জবাবে মার্কিন পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী মাইক পম্পেও অভিযোগগুলো করেন।

চীন ও ইরানের ওপর সম্পূর্ণ দায় চাপানোর চেষ্টা করে তিনি বলেছেন, বিশ্বব্যাপী মহামারি আকারে করোনা ভাইরাস ছড়ানোর পেছনে চীন ও ইরানই অনেকাংশে দায়ী। কেননা তারা আরও তৎপর হলে ভাইরাসটি কখনোই এতটা ভয়ংকর হয়ে ছড়াতে পারত না।

বিশ্লেষকদের মতে, যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের কঠোর নিষেধাজ্ঞা আরোপের কারণে বর্তমানে ইরানে সব ধরনের ওষুধ ও চিকিৎসা সামগ্রী প্রবেশ বন্ধ রয়েছে। এরপরও পম্পেও দাবি করেন, করোনা মোকাবিলায় ওয়াশিংটন সবসময়ই তেহরানকে সহযোগিতা করতে প্রস্তুত।

মার্কিন স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রণালয় জানিয়েছে, যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে করোনা ভাইরাসের থাবায় এখন পর্যন্ত ১১২ জনের প্রাণহানিসহ আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ৬ হাজার ৪৯৯ জন।

চিকিৎসকরা জানিয়েছেন, করোনা ভাইরাস মানুষ ও প্রাণীদের ফুসফুসে সংক্রমণ করতে পারে। ভাইরাসজনিত ঠান্ডা বা ফ্লুর মতো হাঁচি-কাশির মাধ্যমে মানুষ থেকে মানুষে ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে এই ভাইরাস। ভাইরাসটিতে সংক্রমিত হওয়ার প্রধান লক্ষণগুলো হলো- শ্বাসকষ্ট, জ্বর, কাশি, নিউমোনিয়া ইত্যাদি। তাছাড়া শরীরের এক বা একাধিক অঙ্গ-প্রত্যঙ্গ নিষ্ক্রিয় হয়ে আক্রান্ত ব্যক্তির মৃত্যু হতে পারে।

বর্তমানে সবচেয়ে আতঙ্কের বিষয় হলো ভাইরাসটি নতুন হওয়ায় এখনো আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে কোনো প্রতিষেধক আবিষ্কার হয়নি। ভাইরাসটির সংক্রমণ থেকে বাঁচার একমাত্র উপায় সংক্রমিত ব্যক্তিদের থেকে দূরে থাকা। তাই মানুষের শরীরে এমন উপসর্গ দেখা দিলেই দ্রুত চিকিৎসকের শরণাপন্ন হওয়ার পরামর্শ দিয়েছেন বিজ্ঞানীরা।
