আন্তর্জাতিক ডেস্ক : করোনা মরণ থাবা বসিয়েছে পাকিস্তানেও। দেশটির সিন্ধ প্রদেশের এক মন্ত্রী করোনায় আক্রান্ত হয়ে প্রাণ হারিয়েছেন। করোনায় মৃত গুলাম মুর্তজা বেলুচ সিন্ধ প্রদেশের মানব ব্যবস্থাপনা বিষয়ক মন্ত্রী ছিলেন। সিন্ধ প্রদেশের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মুরাদ আলি শাহ তার মৃত্যুর বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন।
এক বিবৃতিতে সিন্ধ প্রদেশের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মুরাদ আলি শাহ বলেন, বেলুচ করোনা ভাইরাসের কারণে মারা গেছেন। তিনি পিপিপির একজন সাহসী ও পরিশ্রমী সদস্য ছিলেন। তার স্থান অন্যজনকে দিয়ে পূরণ করা কঠিন কাজ হবে।
এদিকে করোনা লাগাম ছাড়া পাকিস্তানে। এর মধ্যে আবার লকডাউনের কড়াকড়ি নিয়ম তুলে নেওয়া হয়েছে। জনসমাগম এবং ব্যবসা-বাণিজ্য পুনরায় চালুর অনুমতি দেওয়া হয়েছে। কড়াকড়ি তুলে নেওয়ার পর থেকেই দেশটিতে করোনায় আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা লাফিয়ে লাফিয়ে বাড়ছে। দেশটিতে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নতুন করে আক্রান্ত হয়েছে আরও ৪ হাজার ৬৫ জন এবং মারা গেছে ৬৭ জন।
পাকিস্তানে এখন পর্যন্ত করোনায় আক্রান্তের সংখ্যা ৮০ হাজার ৪৬৩ এবং মৃত্যু হয়েছে ১ হাজার ৬৮৮ জনের। এরই মধ্যে সুস্থ হয়ে উঠেছেন ২৮ হাজার ৯২৩ জন। সূত্র: ডন।
