নোয়াখালীর কোম্পানীগঞ্জে অভিযান চালিয়ে ফেনসিডিলসহ দুই মাদক কারবারিকে গ্রেফতার করেছে পুলিশ। বৃহস্পতিবার (৬ মে) রাতে উপজেলার চরকাঁকড়া টেকের বাজার সংলগ্ন এলাকা থেকে তাদের গ্রেফতার করা হয়।
গ্রেফতার গোলাম ছারওয়ার (৪৩) বসুরহাট পৌরসভা ১ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের মাজহারুল ইসলামের ছেলে এবং আবু নাছের (৪৮) চরকাঁকড়া ৪ নম্বর ওয়ার্ডের টেকের বাজার সংলগ্ন দাই বাড়ির মৃত মোস্তফার ছেলে।
পুলিশ জানায়, গোলাম ছারওয়ার একজন চিহ্নিত মাদক কারবারি। কিছুদিন আগে একটি মাদক মামলায় জামিনে এসে আবারও একই কাজে লিপ্ত হওয়ায় পুলিশ তার পিছু নেয়। অবশেষে মাদক বিক্রির সময় ছয় বোতল ফেনসিডিলসহ তাদের হাতেনাতে গ্রেফতার করে পুলিশ।
কোম্পানীগঞ্জ থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মীর জাহেদুল হক রনি বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, গ্রেফতারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে মাদক নিয়ন্ত্রণ আইনে মামলা দিয়ে শুক্রবার (৭ মে) আদালতে সোপর্দ করা হবে।
