করোনার এই ক্রান্তিকালে সরকারি নির্দেশনা অমান্য করে গ্রাহকের কাছ থেকে ঋণের কিস্তি আদায় করার সময় ঝিনাইদহের কালীগঞ্জে আশা নামের এক এনজিওকে জরিমানা করা হয়েছে।
মঙ্গলবার (২৯ জুন) সকাল ১০টার দিকে শহরের ভূষণ স্কুল সড়কে আশা সমিতিকে পাঁচ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করেন কালীগঞ্জ উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা (ইউএনও) সুবর্ণা রাণী সাহা।
ইউএনও সুবর্ণা রাণী সাহা জানান, মঙ্গলবার সকালে উপজেলার নিশ্চিন্তপুর এলাকায় ঋণের কিস্তি আদায় করতে যান আশা সমিতির কর্মীরা। অথচ করোনা মহামারিতে ঋণের কিস্তি আদায়ে নিষেধাজ্ঞা আছে। তারপরও গ্রাহকদের কাছে কিস্তি আদায় করতে যান এনজিওটির কর্মীরা। নির্দেশনা অমান্য করায় এনজিওটির কালীগঞ্জ শাখাকে জরিমানা করা হয়।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ২৪ জুন অতিরিক্ত জেলা প্রশাসক মো. সেলিম রেজা স্বাক্ষরিত এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে করোনা প্রাদুর্ভাবের কারণে জেলায় এনজির ক্রেডিট প্রোগ্রাম স্থগিত রাখার জন্য নির্দেশনা প্রদান করা হয়।
