সরকার ঘোষিত ৭ দিনব্যাপী কঠোর লকডাউনের পঞ্চম দিন আজ। করোনার সংক্রমণ রোধে কঠোর বিধিনিষেধ বাস্তবায়নে মাঠে রয়েছে সেনাবাহিনী, পুলিশ, র্যাব, বিজিবি ও আনসার সদস্যরা।
লকডাউনের শুরু থেকেই বিভিন্ন জায়গায় টহল দিতে দেখা গেছে তাদের। রাজধানীর বিভিন্ন সড়কে চেকপোস্টে তল্লাশি চালানো হচ্ছে। জরুরি প্রয়োজন ছাড়া অযৌক্তিক কারণে কেউ বাইরে বের হলে করা হচ্ছে গ্রেপ্তার ও জরিমানা। এছাড়া জরুরি পরিষেবায় নিয়োজিতরা পরিচয়পত্র দেখানো ও প্রয়োজনীয়তার বিষয়টি তল্লাশির সময় আইনশৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীকে জানালে, তারা তাদের গন্তব্যে বা কর্মস্থলে যেতে পারছেন।
লকডাউনের শুরুতে জরুরি প্রয়োজন ছাড়া অযৌক্তিক কারণে বাইরে বের হওয়ায় রাজধানীতে প্রথম দিন ৫৫০ জন, দ্বিতীয় দিন ৩২০ জন, তৃতীয় দিনে ৬২১ জন এবং চতুর্থ দিনে ৬১৮ জনকে আটক করে পুলিশ। ৭ জুলাই পর্যন্ত চলবে এই কঠোর লকডাউন। চলমান লকডাউনে বন্ধ রয়েছে সরকারি, আধা সরকারি ও স্বায়ত্তশাসিত সব অফিস। তবে ৪ দিন পর আজ খুলেছে ব্যাংক, বীমা ও শেয়ারবাজার।
