লেবাননে জ্বালানি ট্যাঙ্কারে বিস্ফোরণে নিহত ২০

লেবাননের উত্তরাঞ্চলীয় আক্কার শহরে একটি জ্বালানি ট্যাঙ্কারে বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনায় কমপক্ষে ২০ জন নিহত হয়েছে। লেবানিজ রেড ক্রসের পক্ষ থেকে এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করা হয়েছে। স্থানীয় সময় রোববার সকালে ওই বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে।

সামাজিক মাধ্যমে ছড়িয়ে পড়া ভিডিওতে দেখা গেছে ঘটনাস্থলে ব্যাপকভাবে আগুন ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে। এক টুইট বার্তায় রেড ক্রসের পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে, তারা এখন পর্যন্ত ২০ জনের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে। এছাড়া বিস্ফোরণে আরও সাতজন আহত হয়েছে। আহতদের স্থানীয় হাসপাতালে নেয়া হয়েছে।

লেবাননে সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে জ্বালানির ঘাটতি দেখা দিয়েছে। গত কয়েক সপ্তাহে দেশটিতে বেশ কিছু জ্বালানি ট্যাঙ্কার ছিনতাইয়ের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। হাসপাতালগুলো সতর্ক করে জানিয়েছে, জ্বালানির ঘাটতি দেখা দিয়েছে। যেকোনো সময় তাদের কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করে দিতে হবে।

লেবাননের রাজধানী বেইরুত বন্দরে বিস্ফোরণের এক বছর পেরিয়ে গেছে। কিন্তু ওই বিস্ফোরণের কারণে হওয়া ক্ষয়ক্ষতি এখনও কাটিয়ে উঠতে পারেনি লেবানন। এমনকি ওই বিস্ফোরণের স্মৃতিও ভুলতে পারছে না সেখানকার লোকজন।

বেইরুত বিস্ফোরণের প্রসঙ্গ টেনে প্রধানমন্ত্রী সাদ আল হারিরি বলেন, বেইরুত বন্দরে চালানো হত্যাকাণ্ডের সঙ্গে আক্কারের হত্যাকাণ্ডের কোনো পার্থক্য নেই। তিনি এই ঘটনার দায়ভার নিয়ে দেশটির প্রেসিডেন্ট মিশেল আউন এবং অন্যান্য কর্মকর্তাদের পদত্যাগের আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন।
